North Beach South Haven is a popular Michigan beach destination. And there are many reasons why!

North Beach Park in South Haven Michigan is one of my favorite beaches. It's separated from South Beach Park by the Black River flowing out to Lake Michigan and has its own lighthouse and walkway leading to it. But it's not nearly as crowded as the South Beach lighthouse - partially because of the Riverwalk that leads to the South Beach area adding lots of foot traffic..

North Beach is every bit as nice as South Beach, just not as crowded. And some people want to be where everyone else is.

But I'd rather be on North Beach where you have a great vantage point of watching all the people over on the South side! You can't see nearly as much if you're over there on the South Beach with them.

North Beach South Haven has the same soft sand, playground equipment for the kids, picnic tables, and a great little concession stand with restrooms. North Beach has a little different feel to it and there are several reasons. Houses (mostly vacation rentals) line the parking lot fronting the beach. The vacationers in the rental houses give the area a "festive flair" at times. It just depends which side of the river you want to be on. It's great to have choices!
